The Miramare Castle in the Friuli region is truly charming. Built between 1856 and 1870 on a cliff overlooking the sea, it’s a place worth visiting. It might seem like a castle straight out of a Disney fairytale! Surrounded by beautiful parks with Mediterranean vegetation, sculptures, and ponds, it also offers a botanical garden, a miniature castle, and a palm house, unique in northern Italy.

Surrounded by legends and the history of the Habsburg family, the castle was once the summer residence of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian and his wife, Empress of Mexico, Charlotte.
