Poseidon Palace WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY REPORT

1. Introduction

This report is an assessment of the accessibility of the website of the Hotel Poseidon Palace in accordance with WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

2. Scope of the Audit

In accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines, the website has been assessed for the level of accessibility:

– C – low level of website accessibility. The website does not have facilities for people with exclusions, and the lack of a professional layout of the website makes orientation and use difficult. Test result on the WAVE website

4. Audit Results

During the audit conducted on the Poseidon Palace Hotel website, the following accessibility issues were identified:

 

A) Text and readability: The texts on the website are large, but have low contrast with the background, which makes them difficult to read. There is also no option to change the contrast and font.

 

B) Pictures and graphics: The pictures and graphics on the website are bright and contrasting against the background of the page, but they lack alternative text, which may be difficult for people with vision problems to understand.

 

C) Colors: The colors used on the website are bright and contrasting against the background of the website.

 

D) Forms: The forms on the website do not have any external comments or execution instructions.

 

E) Links: The links on the website are connected in an unprofessional way, which is why many of them do not work properly.

 

F) Video clips: There is a lack of videos and presentations on the website, so people with hearing problems may have difficulty using the website.

 

G) Keyboard functionality: The website does not have any keyboard shortcuts or menus that can be operated with the keyboard. H) Website structure:The Poseidon Palace Hotel website has a simple and clear structure, which makes navigation difficult for users with disabilities. The main menu is located at the top of the page and contains several basic categories. However, some elements on the site are not well organized, which may make it more difficult for users with motor or visual conditions to find the information they are looking for.

5. Recommendations:

A) Texts and readability:
– Introduction of options to change contrast and font.
– Option for the program for blind people to read the text.

B) Images and graphics:
– Introduction of alternative text.

C) Colors:
– Accessibility to options for people with color blindness and other visual problems.

D) Forms:
– Entering comments and instructions into the forms.

E) Links:
– Links should be properly connected and checked.

F) Video clips:
– Adding videos and presentations about the hotel and instructional ones.

G) Keyboard functionality:
– Introduction of marked keyboard shortcuts and keyboard shortcuts to facilitate menu operation.

H) Page structure:
– Changing the page arrangement according to ergonomic recommendations.

6. Summary:

The Poseidon Palace Hotel website does not meet most of the WCAG 2.1 requirements, which makes it difficult to assess it according to levels A-AAA, according to the regulations we rate the website at accessibility level C.
